Jersey Shore Surf - Rock

The Jettyrats were formed in 1998 in the Sea Bright home of Glenn "Moondog' Hamill's "former hotel" basement where a bunch of jammers would gather for a near nightly rock festival. His home, which happens to be the only building in Sea Bright to have a basement,  had ample accoustics to hadle such a jam.

From there, The Jettyrats broke off with the other jammers who formed the blues / rock band Ruffcrowd, where bass player Larry Enzer joined and learned to play.  Once Ruffcrowd disbanded in early 2000, it was only a matter of time before he became one of The Jettyrats longest standing band members and current bass player.

Greg "Webco" Weber and Glenn "Moondog" Hamill formed the band and from there have seen many drummers and bass players come and go, but as always, "...Once a 'Rat, always a 'Rat" was their motto. Glenn left with wife Anne for the sunny coast of Southern California and came back east once to sit in with the band. From time to time The Jettyrats have even allowed guest artists and former band members to play with the band. One such guest, Jay Swanson was actually dubbed, "The fourth Jettyrat..." due to playing with the band so frequently. Today, Jay Swanson can be found touring the north east with his current band, The Mahoney Brothers who do a "Jukebox Heroes" and "Beatlemania" tribute show which include costume changes and set decorations to complete their vintage look.
